Maple Corner Farm in Granville, Massachusetts is a sugarhouse now in its eighth generation of farming and producing maple syrup with a large wood-fired evaporator in a rustic, old-fashioned sugarhouse. From late February to early April, enjoy a tasty breakfast at their pancake restaurant. They also offer cross-country skiing and snow shoeing, with a wide variety of trails for different experience levels. Warm up near the fireplace, or enjoy a warm bowl of chili or soup while resting your tired feet. They also produce hay and offer pick-your-own blueberries, in addition to selling maple syrup, maple products, and homemade jams and jellies year-round. Tours are also offered during sugaring season.

North Hadley Sugar Shack in Hadley, Massachusetts, serves New England pancake breakfasts along with their pure maple syrup. They are open Wednesday through Sunday, starting in mid-February through mid-April. Their restaurant uses their own farm-grown strawberries and buys blueberries and eggs from local farms. The dairy and cream products used at their restaurant are from Mapleline Farm in Massachusetts. They reopen in mid-August and are open daily until December 23, offering pumpkins, Indian corn, gourds, straw, and mums. During the holiday season, maple gift baskets, wreaths, and Christmas trees are available for purchase.

Bascom Family Farms in Alstead, New Hampshire, has its sugarhouse high on top of the mountain overlooking the valley on 2,200 acres. Making syrup since 1853, they are now the largest producer of maple syrup in New England. In its seventh generation of family-run farming, they offer an incredible inventory of maple syrup–making supplies. Bascom’s also buys and sells maple syrup in bulk.

Polly’s Pancake Parlor in New Hampshire is set close on a winding road that offers impeccable views of picturesque Sugar Hill. Staring out as a seasonal restaurant only open during sugaring season, this cute pancake parlor is now open daily for a fresh taste of New England. Pancakes are made from scratch every day from wholesome ingredients. Alongside the pancakes, they serve smoked bacon, sausage patties, and smoked ham that are all made locally at North Country Smokehouse. Their pancake parlor is in the original 1830 building, which has been updated over the years. Their eggs are fresh and the coffee is ground daily. The aromas of smoked bacon on the griddle and freshly prepared pancakes will tempt your every taste bud.

Red Bucket Sugar Shack in Worthington, Massachusetts, is open February through early April. You can watch maple syrup being made on their wood-fired evaporator and enjoy breakfast in their rustic dining room. The smells of warm maple syrup and sweet creamy butter fill the air of the restaurant. Their specialty pancakes will impress even the most persnickety customer. There’s also a cute gift shop in the sugarhouse, where you can purchase real maple syrup, maple candies, and other novelties.

Gould’s Maple Sugarhouse in Shelburne, Massachusetts, has a very charming rustic appeal. The gray gravel driveway brings you to a deep rust red color sugarhouse, which houses a wood-fired evaporator. Steam billows out of the cupola doors on top of the sugarhouse that has been producing maple syrup for six generations.
